Green shipping – LNG as fuel for vessels

"The EU’s Roadmap to a Single European Transport Area – Towards a competitive and resource efficient transport system" has set a goal of at least 40 percent cut in carbon emissions from shipping in order to contribute to a 60 percent cut in total transport emissions by 2050.

To examine the potential for and experience from the use of LNG for maritime transport in Europe, the Mission of Norway to the EU and the Norwegian Embassy in Brussels together with DNV GL organised a conference «Green Shipping – LNG as fuel for vessels» in Brussels on 6 November 2013.

Arctik has been contracted by the Mission of Norway to the EU and the Norwegian Embassy to Belgium to support the conference organisation and to deliver strategic (website,on-line registration system,graphic identity) logistic (event management) and promotion support (communication materials, public relations).

The conference brought together high-level speakers from the European Commission, the European Parliament, the Belgian and Norwegian institutions but also from the maritime and energy-related sectors who delivered valuable insights on LNG potential.
