ENHANCE results available in e-learning format
To wrap up the 4-year project ENHANCE, Arctik has designed and developed an e-learning tool on the theme of natural hazards, multi-sectoral partnerships and risk management.
The tool is based on the experiences and data from the research for the ENHANCE case studies and brings together the results of the project alongside further information on disaster risk reduction in an interactive format.
The goal of the tool is to enhance the knowledge of users on the issue of natural hazard management, risk management terminology and, especially, on the role of stakeholder partnerships in enhancing society’s resilience to catastrophic natural hazard impacts.
Click here to access the tool and start your e-learning experience!
About ENHANCE
The EU FP7 project ENHANCE developed novel ways to enhance society’s resilience to natural disasters by focusing on 10 case studies which span the European continent and address a diverse range of risks and hazards. The project was carried out by 24 partners, including academic institutes, governmental sector, private companies and international organisations, from 11 European countries.
A recently published book ‘Novel Multi-Sector Partnerships in Disaster Risk Management – Results of the ENHANCE project’ details the full project outcomes. Arctik was responsible for the layout of the book and contributed to its editing and revision.
The book can be downloaded for free here.
