Arctik stenghtens its partnership with Protogoras

Protagoras is the leading think tank for public and political communication in Brussels. Being part of the Institute for Higher Social Communication Studies (IHECS), it plays an intermediate role between academic circles and public relations professionals. Arctik has been an active supporter and member of this think tank since its foundation in 2016. Our company welcomed with great enthusiasm the last general meeting on their team on the 23rd of January.

This was an opportunity to talk about the upcoming events for the think tank. Among them, a conference about stakes and uses of temporality in political communication will be organized in June. Many communication scholars from different parts of the world will meet up in Brussels to present their most tangible results.
In addition of this academic event, more professional ones were discussed like the now well-known “Private evenings of Protagoras”. The goal is to bring different public relations professionals to talk about the hottest topics in the field regarding EU and Belgian politics. They have enjoyed great success last year and will be reconducted this year.
Les Cahiers de Protogoras have also drawn a lot of attention for members of Protagoras’s bureau. The upcoming issue will be entirely devoted to the following topic: “European communication: towards an agonistic future?”. Many authors from Celsa/Paris-Sorbonne and Sapienza – Universita Di Roma will be contributors to this issue.

With this general meeting, Arctik contributes to a fruitful dialogue between researchers and professionals who want to make a better impact for a sustainable society.
