Grid infrastructure development: European Strategy for raising public acceptance - DG Energy tender
Arctik is proud to be part of the consortium that won a tender for European Commission Energy DG on grid infrastructure development.
Together with high-level partners Roland Berger and Deloitte/Bio Intelligence Service, we will develop a European strategy to raise public acceptance and understanding of the need and benefit from updating and investing in grid infrastructures.
Considering that public opposition is one of the major hurdles to the construction of new energy infrastructure, the European Commission has identified a need to better inform the public on the contribution that upgraded power networks, especially electricity grids, could make to social and economic welfare, renewable energy sources integration and security of supply and C02 mitigation.
_“We look forward to embark on this project with this excellent consortium of partners”, says Arctik’s Managing Director Cedric Hananel.
The consortium will work in close collaboration with the European Commission and the body of transmission system operators of electricity at European level – ENTSO-E.
More information on this project will be published in the coming months.
