On 19 March, the Walloon Export Agency (AWEX), the International Organisation of La Francophonie (OIF), the municipality of Liège and the Federation of Wallonia-Brussels (FWB) have organised a press conference on “La Francophonie créative”. Press relations were coordinated by Arctik.
The press conference was organised in presence of:
• Rudy Demotte, Ministre President of the Federation Wallonia-Brussels;
• Clément Duhaime, OIF Administrator;
• Willy Demeyer, Mayor of Liège;
• Philippe Suinen, Commissioner-General for the world forum of the French language.
On 20-23th July 2015, the city of Liège will host the second world forum on the French language, “La francophonie créative”. Compare to the first edition held in Québec in 2012, this forum aims at involving and showcasing creative youths in the programme.
In total, 131 projects have been received in one of the five following areas:
• Economy
• Education
• Culture and cultural industries
• Citizen’s involvement
• Links between creativity and the French language
The finalists will soon be announced.
The press conference aimed at promoting the forum but also inviting young participants to ‘CréActivez-vous’ (get creative) at this occasion.
In promoting the press conference, Arctik had direct contacts with more than 40 journalists covering international, culture and EU affairs. We delivered a press invitation, press release and press pack.
